Spring Hydrant Flushing Schedule

Northern Region

South Windsor/East Windsor:

Water mains will be flushed between April 28, 2008, and May 1, 2008, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Windsor Locks/Suffield:

Water mains will be flushed between May 5, 2008, and May 8, 2008, between the hours of 7 p.m. and 11 p.m.

Bradley Field:

Water mains will be flushed between May 5, 2008, and May 9, 2008, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The flushing procedure ensures cleaner, better tasting water and that all hydrants are in proper working order.  Some water discoloration may take place after hydrant flushing.  By running the tap for a short period of time, discoloration may be eliminated.  Please check the condition of your water before using washing machines, dishwashers or other water-using devices.
