Spring Hydrant Flushing Schedule

Clinton: Water mains will be flushed between April 1, 2008 and May 1, 2008.

Westbrook: Water mains will be flushed between April 15, 2008 and May 15, 2008.

Old Saybrook: Water mains will be flushed between May 1, 2008, and June 1, 2008.

The flushing procedure ensures cleaner, better tasting water and that all hydrants are in proper working order.  Some water discoloration may take place after hydrant flushing.  By running the tap for a short period of time, discoloration may be eliminated.  Please check the condition of your water before using washing machines, dishwashers or other water-using devices.
