Spring Hydrant Flushing

Unionville Division

Water mains will be flushed beginning May 5 - May 9, 2008, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the following areas:

Farmington Industrial Park, New Britain Avenue south of Meadow Road, Executive Drive, Corporate Avenue and Hyde Road.

Plainville Avenue from Meadow Road to and including Wells Acres, Cope Farms, Southwest Village, Brookshire, Inwood and Harold Road, Farmington Edge, Farmington Chase and Cornerstone Village areas.

Farmington Village areas and south to the Plainville town line, including all streets off of Main Street (Route 10).  Waterville Road (Route 10), Gleneagles Drive and Mountain Spring Road.

Water mains will be flushed beginning May 12 - May 16, 2008, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. in the following areas:

Collinsville system, including areas in Canton and Avon.

The flushing procedure ensures cleaner, better tasting water and that all hydrants are in proper working order.  Some water discoloration may take place after hydrant flushing.  By running the tap for a short period of time, discoloration may be eliminated.  Please check the condition of your water before using washing machines, dishwashers or other water-using devices.
