Connecticut Water Service, Inc. Increases Dividend
Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (NASDAQ GS: CTWS) announced that the Company’s Board of Directors approved an annualized dividend increase of two cents per common share, or 2.2%, above the current cash dividend. The quarterly cash dividend on common shares was increased to $0.2325 per quarter from $0.2275. The increased dividend will be effective with the dividend declared by the Board on common shares payable on September 15, 2010, for shareholders of record as of September 1, 2010. The Company’s annual dividend yield is about 4.3%.

Connecticut Water Service, Inc. Reports Q2 Earnings
Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (NASDAQ GS: CTWS) announced net income of $2.3 million and earnings per basic average share (EPS) of $0.28 for the second quarter of 2010, compared to net income of $2.3 million and EPS of $0.27 for the second quarter of 2009. Total revenue grew to $17.5 million from $16.7 million, an increase of $784,000, or 5%. Total revenue includes all revenues generated by the Company’s three business segments: Water Activities, Services and Rentals, and Real Estate.

Customers Give Connecticut Water High Marks for Service
Connecticut Water achieved an overall customer satisfaction rating of 89.9 percent in the company’s semi-annual Customer Satisfaction Survey, representing a slight increase over 2009’s year-end results of 89 percent.

Clinton, Connecticut, May 17, 2010 – Shareholders of Connecticut Water Service, Inc.
(NASDAQ GS:CTWS) elected a slate of three directors and ratified the Audit Committee’s selection of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP as independent auditors for 2010, at the Company’s Annual Meeting of Shareholders held on May 14, 2010 in Groton, Connecticut.
The Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $ 0.2275 per common share payable on June 15, 2010, for shareholders of record as of June 1, 2010.

This is a slight decrease of $74,000, or $0.01 per basic common share, on total revenues of $14.7 million recorded in the first quarter of 2009. Total revenues include all revenues generated by the Company’s three business segments: Water Activities, Services and Rentals, and Real Estate.

Shenipsit Lake Recreation Program Opens April 17
The Connecticut Water Company and the Shenipsit Lake Association (SLA) announce that boats will be accepted at the Lake Shenipsit boat storage area located on Ellington Road in Tolland beginning at 6 a.m. on Wednesday, April 14, for those who wish to use their boats in the Shenipsit Lake Recreation program this season.

Connecticut Water Service, Inc. Reports Fourth Quarter and 2009 Earnings
Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (NASDAQ GS: CTWS) announced 2009 net income of $10.2 million, or $1.20 per basic common share, on operating revenues of $59.4 million. In 2008, the Company reported net income of $9.4 million, or $1.12 per basic common share, on operating revenues of $61.3 million. The gain in net income came despite decreased earnings in 2009 in the Water Activities Segment, the Company’s largest business segment that is comprised of its regulated utility operations. In 2009, the Water Activity Segment generated $7.8 million of net income, or $0.93 per basic common share, on revenues of $60.6 million. In 2008, the Water Activity Segment generated $8.8 million of net income, or $1.05 per basic, on revenues of $62.3 million.

Connecticut Water Service, Inc. Declares Dividends
Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (NASDAQ-GS: CTWS) today announced that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.2275 per common share payable on March 15, 2010 for shareholders of record as of Marchr 1, 2010. This quarterly dividend remains unchanged from the previous quarter and represents an annualized dividend of $0.91. The Company’s annual dividend yield at Wednesday’s stock market closing price is about 4%. Connecticut Water has paid quarterly dividends on common stock since its founding in 1956 without interruption or reduction and has increased dividend payments for each of the last 40 years.
