Connecticut Water Offers Customers Convenience of
Paying Online with Credit and Debit Cards
CLINTON, CONNECTICUT – April 8, 2008 – Connecticut Water is now offering customers the added convenience and flexibility of being able to pay their water bill with a credit or debit card online at www.ctwater.com. Until recently, customers could only pay online through their checking account.
When using the Pay Your Bill Online option from the home page, customers can now select from paying with either a Master Card or Visa credit or debit card, or through their checking account. To complete the transaction, customers need to refer to a copy of their most recent water bill and their credit card. There is no customer fee to complete a credit card transaction.
“While we have taken check payments online and credit card payments over the phone, we wanted to offer customers the added benefit of being able to pay by credit or debit card online at their convenience, 24 hours a day,” said Maureen Westbrook, vice president of Customer and Regulatory Affairs. “Our customers have indicated this would be a benefit, and we are happy to respond to their needs.”
When paying online with a credit card, customers need to have a copy of their most recent bill so they can key in their account information and amount they are paying, before being directed to the credit card payment site.
In addition to online and mail-in payments, customers also can pay by personal check, cash, money order or credit card at any of Connecticut Water’s office locations. Customer Service representatives are available at 1-800-286-5700 to assist customers with questions about the payment options or any other matter relating to their water service.
