Connecticut Water’s Kristen A. Johnson
Elected Vice President Human Resources
CLINTON, CONNECTICUT – February 12, 2008 – Kristen A. Johnson was recently elected Vice President – Human Resources by the Connecticut Water Company’s Board of Directors. She had previously served as the company’s Director of Human Resources.
“This recognition goes not only to Kristen’s expertise and the quality of her leadership, but also to our Board's commitment to employees,” said Eric W. Thornburg, Connecticut Water’s president and CEO. “I am very pleased by this show of support and the Board's recognition of the importance of this position and the contribution towards making Connecticut Water an even greater place to work.”
Johnson oversees employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, recruitment, training and organizational development. A Human Resources professional for 17 years, Johnson previously served as the senior vice president, Human Resources and Organizational Development Officer for Rockville Bank. She has extensive background in human resources laws and compliance, as well as compensation and benefits design.
In addition, Johnson is a “Certified Compensation Professional” by the WorldatWork Association which focuses on human resources disciplines. She also is a member of the Human Resources Association of Central Connecticut, the Society of Human Resources Management and the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals. Johnson is proud to be a Board Member for the Manchester Community College Foundation and is active in other local business and civic organizations.
A resident of Broad Brook, Conn., Johnson earned a master’s degree in Human Resources Development from American International College in Springfield, Mass.
