Kristen A. Johnson Joins Connecticut Water as Human Resources
Director
CLINTON, CONNECTICUT – July 23, 2007 – Kristen
A. Johnson has been named Director of Human Resources at
Connecticut Water Service, Inc. In this role, she will oversee
employee relations, performance management, compensation
and benefits, recruitment, training and organizational development.
A Human Resources professional for 15 years, Johnson most
recently served as the senior vice president of Human Resources
and Organizational Development Officer for Rockville Bank.
She has extensive background in human resources laws and
compliance, as well as compensation and benefits design.
“Kristen brings to Connecticut Water a great deal
of passion and energy that fits precisely with our company’s
employee strategy,” said Eric W. Thornburg, Connecticut
Water’s president and CEO. “She is clearly focused
on serving employees.”

Johnson is a “Certified Compensation Professional”
by the WorldatWork Association which focuses on human resources
disciplines. She also is a member of the Human Resources
Association of Central Connecticut, the Society of Human
Resources Management and the National Association of Stock
Plan Professionals. Johnson is proud to be a Board Member
for the Manchester Community College Foundation and is active
in other local business and civic organizations.
A resident of Broad Brook, Conn., Johnson earned a master’s
degree in Human Resources Development from American International
College in Springfield, Mass.
