Water Quality Report

Our No. 1 goal is to provide customers with safe, reliable drinking water. Each year more than 170,000 water quality tests are conducted on the water delivered to Connecticut Water Company customers. That’s an average of 400 tests every day. Our water is routinely tested for more than 120 potential contaminants and parameters that could affect the quality of your tap water. The results of these water quality tests are summarized in an annual water quality report that is mailed to customers each summer.
We monitor and test water quality in each of our nearly 30 different water systems and report on the results of the water quality testing, the source(s) of the drinking water supply and information about the Source Water Assessment by the Connecticut Department of Public Health (DPH), which is used to evaluate potential sources of contamination.

To find the water quality information for your water system, refer to the Connecticut Water region in the report that serves you. If you are unsure which region serves you, refer to the service area map on page 24 of the report.
