Connecticut Water Service, Inc.

Connecticut Water Service, Inc. is a non-operating holding company that was incorporated in 1974, and its common stock trades onthe NASDAQ Global Select Market under the ticker symbol CTWS.

Its largest subsidiary is the Connecticut Water Company, a regulated water utility company that provides water service to more than 83,000 customers or approximately 286,000 people in more than 40 Connecticut towns. The Connecticut Water Company was organized in 1956. However, its roots as a water utility date back to before the Civil War.

Connecticut Water Service provides water related services to residential, commercial, industrial, and municipal customers, as well as other water utilities through New England Water UtilityServices, Inc. (NEWUS), its unregulated subsidiary. The services offered by NEWUS include service line protection through its Linebacker® program, Water and waste water system operations and maintenance contracts, and emergency water delivery via tanker truck.

Connecticut Water Service and its subsidiaries are New England’s largest locally based investor-owned water utility.
