Connecticut Water will be replacing 4,100 feet, or nearly 6/10ths of a mile, of old water main in the Williamsville section of Killingly. The project is scheduled for late summer. and will include work on portions of the following streets:
- State Avenue
- Litchfield Avenue #1
- Williamsville Road
Connecticut Water will use door tags to directly notify customers that may be affected in the area at least 24 hours in advance if there is any planned disruption in water service.
This project will be done through Connecticut Water’s Water Infrastructure and Conservation Adjustment (WICA). Systematically replacing aging pipes is part of our continuing effort to provide a reliable supply of high quality drinking water and world-class service to customers. This project will help us to conserve water, a precious natural resource, by replacing old pipe that is more likely to leak underground than newer ductile iron pipe.
