Killingly (Danielson)

About the Projects:

Connecticut Water has two projects scheduled in Danielson over the summer/fall of 2017.

Local roads near Five Mile Pond. This project is underway and involves replacing will be replacing approximately 5,000 feet, or about one mile, of old water main along all or portions of the following streets:

  • Palmer Street
  • Leander Street
  • Prospect Avenue
  • Fredrick Street
  • Williams Street
  • W. Palmer Street
  • Ruth Street
  • Cove Street
  • Adelaide Street 

Main Street, Route 12, Between Water Street and Westcott Road in downtown.

Equipment and material are being moved into the project area the week of August 7th.  The week of August 14th expect saw cutting, and other preliminary construction activity. Full construction is expected the week of August 21st. More details in an August 10, 2017 news release.

This project involves replacing about 3,000 feet, or more one-half mile of water main along Route 12, Main Street, between Water Street and Westcott Road.


Customers and the general public can sign-up for text and e-mail alerts about our Killingly projects.

Customers will receive information in the mail from Connecticut Water about the project schedule and advance notification of any planned water service interruptions. 

This project is being done through Connecticut Water’s Water Infrastructure and Conservation Adjustment (WICA). Systematically replacing aging pipes is part of our continuing effort to provide a reliable supply of high quality drinking water and world-class service to customers. This project will help us to conserve water, a precious natural resource, by replacing old pipe that is more likely to leak underground than newer ductile iron pipe.
