Vernon - South Street
About the Project:
Connecticut Water replaced 3,100 feet, or more than 6/10ths of a mile, of water main on South Street between Vernon Avenue and West Street. Connecticut Water's work on this project is complete. The Town of Vernon will begin road reconstruction in spring 2017.
This project was completed through Connecticut Water’s Water Infrastructure and Conservation Adjustment (WICA). Systematically replacing aging pipes is part of our continuing effort to provide a reliable supply of high quality drinking water and world-class service to customers. This project helps us to conserve water, a precious natural resource, by replacing old pipe that is more likely to leak underground than newer ductile iron pipe.
