Shenipsit Lake Recreation Program Opens for 25th Season on Saturday, April 14

Connecticut Water and the Shenipsit Lake Association (SLA) announce that the Shenipsit Lake Recreation Program will open for its 25th season on April 14. The program offers free fishing and hiking at Connecticut Water’s Shenipsit Lake Reservoir, which is located in Ellington, Tolland and Vernon. The program is a cooperative effort between Connecticut Water and the SLA.

SJW Group (NYSE: SJW) and Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTWS) today announced that both companies’ boards of directors have unanimously approved a definitive agreement to combine through a merger of equals to create the 3rd largest investor-owned water and wastewater utility in the United States, based on pro forma enterprise value and combined rate base.

Connecticut Water Service Inc. names David C. Benoit president and CEO and Robert J. Doffek chief financial officer, treasurer and controller

The board of directors of Connecticut Water Service Inc. (CTWS or the company) announced today that David C. Benoit has been named president and CEO of the company effective immediately. Benoit has served as interim president and CEO since Sept. 28, 2017. Richard Knowlton will continue as president of the company’s Maine operating subsidiary, Maine Water Company.

Connecticut Water Announces Latest Customer Satisfaction Results

More than 90% of Connecticut Water Company customers say they are satisfied with the company.  Those are the findings in the most recent customer satisfaction survey of Connecticut Water Company customers conducted by an independent research firm. Great Blue Research, contacted over 1200 randomly selected Connecticut Water customers across the state, and found that the overall customer satisfaction index is 93.4%, up slightly from the 2016 survey.

Connecticut Water Company is proud to announce that it has helped fund the Women & Family Life Center’s Open Door project through the Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit Program. Located in Guilford, the Women & Family Life Center is an independent, nonprofit organization that provides support, education, and referral services to help women and families face challenges and transitions.

Connecticut Water Files for Rate Reopener with Settlement Agreement with the Office of Consumer Counsel

Connecticut Water Company today announced that it has reached an agreement with the Connecticut Office of Consumer Counsel (OCC) that it says will result in a rate increase of 11 cents per day for an average residential customer and “is good for the families and communities served by the company and maintains our ability to continue investing in drinking water infrastructure.”
