Connecticut Water Service Announces Local Leadership Promotions

Connecticut Water Service, Inc. announced that its board of directors has promoted four current executives to key positions within the company. The individuals, selected from the existing Connecticut Water team, have extensive experience in their respective areas and will maintain the local management and priorities for serving customers and communities.

Connecticut Water Donates $50,000 to Area Food Banks, Soup Kitchens

Connecticut Water is pleased to announce $50,000 in charitable funds donated to Connecticut food banks and soup kitchens, following the company’s recent combination with SJW Group. In total, 58 organizations located within Connecticut Water’s service area will receive contributions as a demonstration of Connecticut Water’s continued commitment to community support as part of SJW Group.

Maureen P. Westbrook Named President of Connecticut Water Service

SJW Group (NYSE: SJW) (“SJW Group”) today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Connecticut Water Service, Inc., has selected Maureen P. Westbrook to become president of Connecticut Water Service effective Dec. 1, 2019. Connecticut Water Service comprises SJW Group’s New England region and provides water service to a population of nearly 450,000 in 80 communities in Connecticut and Maine through its operating utility companies Connecticut Water, Avon Water, Heritage Village and Maine Water. Westbrook will be the president of the Connecticut utilities, and Rick Knowlton will continue to serve as president of Maine Water.

SJW GROUP AND CONNECTICUT WATER COMPLETE COMBINATION TO CREATE LEADING PURE PLAY WATER AND WASTEWATER UTILITY

SJW Group (NYSE: SJW) (“SJW Group”) and Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (“Connecticut Water”) today announced the close of their merger. The combined company, SJW Group, is the third-largest investor-owned pure play water and wastewater utility based on rate base in the United States, serving nearly 1.5 million people across California, Connecticut, Maine and Texas. In connection with the closing of the transaction, Connecticut Water is now a wholly owned subsidiary of SJW Group, and Connecticut Water’s common shares have ceased trading on the NASDAQ stock exchange.

Matthew Stosse of Westbrook, Connecticut, assumed the role of Connecticut State Director on the New England Water Works Association (NEWWA) board of directors on September 24, 2019, during the 138th NEWWA Annual Conference in Rockport, Maine.

Annual Water Quality Reports Available From Connecticut Water

Connecticut Water’s latest water quality reports are available to customers and others who consume the water produced by the company’s more than 60 water systems across the state. The reports summarize the results of water quality testing done in 2018 and include information about the company’s water systems and source-protection measures. Connecticut Water works closely with the Connecticut Department of Public Health to ensure that the water it provides to customers meets or is better than state and federal standards for drinking water.
