Today, the Heritage Village Water Co. the CPV Towantic Energy Center, the Pomperaug River Watershed Coalition and the Town of Southbury announced new and significant measures to maintain flows in the Pomperaug River. The measures proactively reduce public water supply demands that could affect river flows on the Pomperaug aquifer.
Come join in the fun celebrating the 25th Anniversary of Connecticut Water’s Shenipsit Lake Reservoir Recreation Program on Saturday, June 22. The celebration will be held at the boat storage area located at 95 Ellington Road, Tolland and will include a Youth Fishing Derby from 6 a.m. to noon.
Connecticut Water announced that it will be replacing 1,400 feet of water main on West Main Street between Vernon Avenue and Union Street in Vernon-Rockville. The water main being replaced was installed more than 100 years ago. Work is expected to begin during the week of June 3.
Connecticut Water employees are leading a hike on the company’s watershed property in Tolland on Saturday, June 1, as part of this year’s sponsorship of the Connecticut Forest & Park Association’s Connecticut Trails Day 2019. All hikers will be entered in a raffle for a chance to win a gift certificate to L.L. Bean. Connecticut Water will provide reusable water bottles and drawstring bags to the first 20 hikers to arrive.
