SJW Group (NYSE: SJW) (“SJW Group”) and Connecticut Water Service, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTWS) (“Connecticut Water”) today announced that they have jointly filed a new application with the Connecticut Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (“PURA”) for approval of the merger of SJW Group and Connecticut Water. The new application offers a comprehensive set of commitments and additional supporting evidence that the companies believe are responsive to PURA’s previous concerns, demonstrate that their combination is in the public interest and show that the combination will deliver immediate, quantifiable and significant benefits to all of Connecticut Water’s stakeholders.
The Shenipsit Lake Reservoir Recreation Program, a unique partnership between Connecticut Water and the Shenipsit Lake Association, opens for the 2019 fishing season on April 13. Free fishing and hiking are available through the program at Connecticut Water’s Shenipsit Lake Reservoir, located in Ellington, Tolland and Vernon. Connecticut Water pays for the entire program, which is free to the public. The Shenipsit Lake Association monitors daily activities. This is the program’s 25th anniversary.
Connecticut Water Company, Avon Water Company and Heritage Village Water Company, the water utilities for customers across 59 Connecticut towns, today announced the results of its most recent customer satisfaction survey, which was commissioned to better understand what customers expect from their water service. The results revealed that the expectations of more than 91 percent of customers were being met all or most of the time.
Connecticut Water Company is proud to announce that it is helping to fund a water harvesting project at the Town of Mansfield’s Community Center through the Connecticut Neighborhood Assistance Act tax credit program. The company’s donation of $2,500 will help fund a feasibility study on the harvesting of rainwater at the Community Center.

The company’s donation of $2,500 will help fund energy efficiency upgrades to KIDSAFE CT’s facility in Rockville. KIDSAFE CT, an affiliate of The Village for Families & Children, is a nonprofit organization that is funded by Connecticut area Exchange Clubs for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
