Connecticut Water Names Adam Danner to VP of Finance, Controller and Treasurer

Connecticut Water today announced that Adam Danner has been named vice president of finance, controller and treasurer. Danner has more than 14 years’ experience in accounting and finance with regulated public utilities in New England. He succeeds Robert J. Doffek, who retired from the company in December 2019.

Connecticut Water to Start $1 Million Water Main Replacement Project on Stafford Road in Mansfield

Connecticut Water will begin replacing about 3,200 feet of water main on Old Colony Road and Stafford Road, also known as Route 32, near the Route 44 intersection. The water main being replaced is more than 60 years old. The project is expected to run through August and will cost approximately $1 million.

Connecticut Water Launches Pilot Water Conservation Program

Connecticut Water announced today that it has launched a water conservation pilot program that focuses on outdoor water use for small water systems served by the company. The company will look to build on the results of the pilot as a stepping stone for a broader companywide program to promote conservation measures for outdoor water use. Customer communications for the pilot were launched just before the start of the summer season when outdoor water usage is at its highest.

Connecticut Water to Start $500,000 Water Main Replacement Project on Scoville Road in Avon

Beginning on or after May 28, Connecticut Water will begin replacing about 3,000 feet of water main on Scoville Road between Burnham Road and West Avon Road, Route 167, in Avon. The water main being replaced is more than 60 years old. The project is expected to run through August and will cost nearly $500,000.

Connecticut Water to Start $600,000 Water Main Replacement Project on First Street Annex and Second Street in Plainfield

Beginning the week of May 11, Connecticut Water will begin replacing more than 2,000 feet of water main on First Street Annex and Second Street in Plainfield. The water main being replaced is nearly 110 years. The estimated project cost is nearly $600,000 and is expected to continue through the end of August.

Connecticut Water Encourages Businesses, Municipalities, Schools and Operators of Vacant Properties To Flush Pipes To Maintain Water Quality

As Gov. Lamont has announced a staged plan for re-opening many Connecticut businesses later this month, Connecticut Water recommends that building owners and property managers flush the water pipes upon returning to any building that may have been vacant or infrequently used over the last several weeks.
