In response to Governor Lamont’s ‘Stay Safe, Stay Home’ executive order issued on March 20, 2020, which became effective on Monday, March 23, 2020, at 8 p.m., Connecticut Water has suspended all non-emergency construction activity until further notice. This includes water main replacement projects and other planned capital improvements. Our personnel will continue to perform essential construction activity, such as the repair of water main breaks that are needed to continue to provide a reliable supply of safe drinking water to customers and the community, while protecting the health and safety of our employees.
When performing essential repairs, our people will take necessary precautions to protect their health and those of customers and the community. We ask that anyone approaching our employees in the field be mindful of social distancing and give them space to perform their work safely.
We have construction projects across the state, in and out of our service areas. We are either working to replace aging drinking water infrastructure through (WICA) or investing in new facilities to deliver a reliable supply of clean, safe drinking water to current and future customers.
