Connecticut Water Company has completed our water utility work in your area. Through this project, we invested approximately $1.27M to replace 4100 feet of water main that was more than 100 years old, which will improve reliability of your water service and enhance your water quality.   Part of the project cost includes a contribution to the town for the completion of the roadway restoration which the town will take on as a part of a larger roadway maintenance effort. 

Connecticut Water has completed replacement about 4,100 ft of 100+ year old water main on Neck Road and Buffalo Bay Road.

Project Completion Letter

This project has been completed ahead of schedule. A completion letter was mailed to customers on September 10.


Safe Distancing

Connecticut Water is continuing its essential work in the community in accordance with guidelines and recommendations from state and local government officials, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Our field employees and contractors have adopted extra safety precautions that include appropriate personal protective equipment while they flush hydrants, collect water samples, work on drinking water infrastructure, and read meters.

We ask people to help protect the health and safety of our employees, contractors, their neighbors and the community by following recommended social distancing guidelines and allowing our people at least 6 feet of personal space. This helps us protect the people who make sure that clean, safe water reaches your tap 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.


This project was done through Connecticut Water’s Water Infrastructure and Conservation Adjustment (WICA). Systematically replacing aging pipes is part of our continuing effort to provide a reliable supply of high quality drinking water and world-class service to customers. This project will help us to conserve water, a precious natural resource, by replacing old pipe that is more likely to leak underground than newer ductile iron pipe.
