Connecticut Water invites customers to an open house at the MacKenzie treatment facility

CLINTON, Conn., Oct. 14, 2026 — Connecticut Water Company welcomes customers to learn about the water treatment process directly from our experts during an open house at the William N. MacKenzie Drinking Water Treatment Facility in Clinton on Oct. 28.
“At Connecticut Water, we make it our life’s work to keep water flowing in the places we all call home. Our team of local water professionals are eager to share the tools we use to filter and treat water to remove impurities and test its quality,” Connecticut Water President Craig J. Patla said. “An open house provides an opportunity for customers to see first-hand where their water comes from and the fascinating journey it takes to get to their homes.”
With the capacity to produce up to 6 million gallons of drinking water per day, the facility is the largest source of drinking water for Connecticut Water customers in Shoreline region (Clinton, Guilford, Madison, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook). As a surface water treatment facility, the nearby Kelseytown and Killingworth reservoirs supply the treatment plant with water.
